Health Galaxy Park (HGP) is guided by a dynamic Board of Management made up of professionals from Zimbabwe, the United States, international partners, and key government agencies. This diverse leadership brings together expertise across sectors to drive innovation and impact in Zimbabwe’s health landscape. Working in close collaboration with secretariat and relevant stakeholders, the board plays a central role in shaping HGP’s strategic direction. The Secretariat, led by the Chief Executive Officer (CEO), ensures smooth execution of programs and initiatives in alignment with the board’s vision.


Prof. C C Maponga

Chief Executive Officer

Leads the vision and strategic direction of Health Galaxy Park as a center for health and wellness innovation. With decades of experience in public health, medicine, and health policy, he is a distinguished academic and researcher known for his contributions to pharmaceutical sciences and global health. His extensive work in academia, policy development, and international research collaborations reflects his commitment to advancing equitable healthcare systems, significantly influencing the growth and impact of Health Galaxy Park across Africa and beyond.


Mr. P Chabata

Board Chairman

Leads efforts to innovate healthcare in Africa. He also serves as the SADC Regional Director and Vice President of the African Diaspora Development Institute, promoting pan-Africa development and diaspora engagement. Additionally, he is the Africa Director at Drug International Limited, focusing on enhancing access to quality healthcare. With extensive regional and international experience, Mr. Chabata is instrumental in fostering global partnerships and driving investments in Africa's health sector.


Prof. G D Morse

International Board Members Chairman 


Professor Gene D. Morse is a Distinguished Professor at the University at Buffalo's School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences, with additional roles in the Jacobs School of Medicine and the School of Public Health. He directs the UB Center for Integrated Global Biomedical Sciences and co-directs the SUNY Global Health Institute. His work includes leading research capacity programs in Zimbabwe, such as the UB-University of Zimbabwe AIDS Research and Training Program. He serves on the Board of Directors for the International Pharmacotherapy and Education Initiative and collaborates on health initiatives across Africa to support the United Nations 2030 Sustainable Development Goals.




Dr. S Naik

Local business Liaison

He plays a critical role in driving strategic partnerships, attracting investors, and fostering business development. With a wealth of experience in health innovation and integrated approaches to public health, Dr. Naik brings visionary leadership to the Park's expansion efforts. He is also the Chairman of One Health, a multi-sectoral initiative that promotes the collaborative efforts of health, environmental, and agricultural sectors to improve global health outcomes. Through his dual roles, Dr. Naik is instrumental in bridging science, investment, and policy to create sustainable impact.
